Hi there...all the Macbooks come with Garage Band: http://www.apple.com/macbook/specs.html (see section under Software)

No virus protection software is really necessary for the Macs They are not much interest to the hackers since they like to write software viruses for the mass market--Windows. However, Norton, McAfee, Puremac are some virus protection software programs available if you are interested.

All Apple computers currently being sold (including MacBooks) ship with iLife '06, which includes iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD, GarageBand and iWeb. As far as antivirus software goes, people say it's not necessary on a Mac but I like to err on the side of caution. You can download and install a free antivirus software for OS X called ClamXav. It's simple and easy use; I've been using it for a while now and it's highly recommended.
