I read this thing online that says yogurt if you put it in ur vagina a teaspoon a day for 7 days will get rid of your bacteria infection?? true or false has anyone tried it?

I've heard that it IS true. I read that Yogurt balances the PH in the vagina

This is absolutely false. Yogurt will not get rid of a bacterial vaginal infection. Yogurt is sometimes used to encourage the proliferation of healthful flora in the vagina and thus discourage the overgrowth of yeast.

yogurt is useful for yeast and only if it has live enzymes in it. It does not work for bacterial infections, that is something you actually need an antibiotic for. So people answering your questions are half right on everything. You'll know if you have a bacterial infection if there is a fishy odor. If its yeast its itchy, burny with cottage cheese like discharge.

It will probably make it worse or cause something else! I have heard it is good to eat yogurt when you have infections but come on.. good luck with that!!

EAT the yogurt..Don't put it where you pee...That can cause MORE yeast and bacteria to grow b/c you're giving it something to feed on...
