When a foal is born, it is either a colt (boy) or a filly (girl). Better known as a weanlings when weaning begins (as I start to wean at 6 months myself).

A horse is considered a foal during its first year. A female is called a filly until the age of four and then it is called a mare.

Males are colts until their fourth birthday, and then become geldings or stallions (determing if gelded or left standing for stud).

it is not a record and it has passed off earlier, yet breeding an inbred foal out of an fairly youthful horse isn't something to be pleased with. this subject could have been prevented with trouble-free experience. while his testicle dropped he ought to have been separated from mares and fillies until eventually gelded - they are able to nevertheless be able to conceal with in simple terms the single. additionally understanding that he have been mounting the filly she ought to have been scanned as a precaution fairly of in simple terms being left.
