I am in wood working club at H.S, and i want to build a little home for my bearded dragon named pepper to hide in. He mostly tries to hide at night time, because sometimes the hallway light is on, but he has no where good to hide. how should i make it? how big? hes in a 30 gallon tank and hes 8 inches long

the shelter should be big enough for him to be able to turn around comfortably, and only put his heating pad in there, must be as dark as possible they don't like direct light at night, I am also very new to that world of living with reptiles, but in a period of two weeks I have learned so much, and one thing I do know is that you have to determine day and night for the beardies

make it big enough for the dragon to fit in with just enough room to turn around. if its not full grown make it large enough for 2 of them. maybe about 8''x6'' with an opening of about 6''x4''. put it on one side of the cage away from the light. dont make it out of pin or cedar wood. polyurethane any wood home

i use to have one in my class, room, make sure he has plenty of light!
