He knocks her up and her family want her to get rid of the baby, so they elope and live in poverty, happily ever after.
Unbeknown to them, the family goes back to the camp the following year:
Robbie the Creep screwed up in college and comes back to work for Kellerman's, but all the young un's know what a loser he is so he can't get laid.
Baby's Mum is fed up being told she's "overcorrecting" her golf putt and leaves the course early one afternoon. She has a few tipples too many and get's seduced by Robbie the Creep.
She thought she had finished with the menopause and six months later discovers she has a bun in the oven, but she and hubby have slept in seperate beds for nearly a decade!!!!
She has been ferretting away money for years and decides she is missing out by not getting laid at home so leaves hubby and calls on Robbie the Creep. As long as he agrees to satisfy her once a week and be a father to their child, she will let him be a kept man.
5 years later Baby's father dies and leaves her an inheritance, they buy some land and set up their own dance academy. Baby finds out about her half-sister and new step-father when her half sister enrols at the Acadamy and goes on to be a Champion Dirty Dancer.
Robbie the Creep gets his daughters best friend pregnant at 15.
After all these years Lisa is still looking for her beige iridescant lipstick.

she got pregnant by Robbie and he wasnt going to help take care of the kid so she went to get an abortion by a doctor Johnny's friend found but he turned out to be a sloppy doctor with no sterile tools and almost cost Penny her life. thats the reason Baby took her place dancing cause the only night the doc could see Penny was the day they had a very important performance so Penny decided to help them by taking Penny's place and also providing the money for the abortion.

Being a romantic I 'd like to imagine that they lived together in a long and harmonious relationship. But they might have been too different for that to work - although I'm sure they'd have always remained friends due to the respect that they had for each other.
I really love this film, especially the dance routines, romantic plot and great tunes but sorry, I think the chemistry is a bit lacking from Patrick Swayze's side - his kisses are a bit half-hearted and he kisses with open eyes!

I just watched this fantastic movie again, which led me to search the question.
Being a romantic, I think surely they stayed together. I'd say they got married, opened a dance studio/clothing bank in the slums, and had kids. Or, maybe they joined the Peace Corp together after getting married and learned African dances! I definitely agree with the comment above that they complement each other: adventure & smarts.

Looks like you got lots of answers but when I read your question ,I had hoped that someone could tell me if the rumours were true and that Patrick Swazi(Sorry don't know how to spell his name ) really was going to do a follow up. Its been rumoured for ages now and i don't CARE if it was fiction ,it was one of the best sexiest dancing movies ever

She found someone else as he moved to Cuba and did the film Dirty Dancing 2 which was not as good as the first film.

I think reality is they go their separate ways...she's doing that whole peace corp save the world thing and he's just trying to make a living...one would hope they would wind up together...
