As are simply in a better position than the Angels with a 6.5 game lead and only 12 games to play. The As are a more solid ball club too.

The A's have a 6.5 game lead and the Angels only play 12 more games. I know they have 7 games left against each other in the closing days of the season, but I have a hard time believing the Angels can make up that many games in such a short time. They would pretty much have to win all 7 games they have against the A's to pass them in the standings. Not impossible, but quite unlikely.

Oakland without a doubt. The California..I mean Anaheim...I mean Los Angeles Angels don't have a chance. The Athletics have much better pitching and defence and overall are a much more talented and competitive team.

i think the a's will win the west even though the angels for the last 3 years have been in this position and beat the a's....but not this year the a's have a better team and this was a lil rebuilding year for the angels

the A's, because they got the pitching and because Frank Thomas is swinging his mighty bat! also, they have the lead by more than enough to clinch their division!
