Me too. Having some one eternally damned to a lake of torturous fire is not what a loving God would do. I think it has something to do (and this is my own correlation) of burning to death being one of the worst fates primitive man could every find. People who are severely burned suffer greatly. Perhaps that's why people assign other people to hell. God certainly doesn't. God forgives; but you're right, those who do great evil will be evened up...maybe not by punishment, but coming back into the same situations they caused until they learn something. I rather like karmic debt some days. Blessings.

Man can never ever be more forgiving then God.
The reason for this is the fact that with great power there are also great responsibilities.
Do you remember Zinedine Zidane?
Was he not one of the greatest players ever? Did he not have millions of supporters? Look what happened to him. When some gets that great then ones anger is also equally great.
God is all powerful all knowing and omnipresent. This means that His Greatness becomes His anger. Perhaps, when He condemns someone to burn in hell for his sins, He fully knows how great the mistake of the person involved is and how many lives were affected by that one mistake.
Again take the case of Zinedine Zidane, think of how many lives, his one single mistake influenced. Imagine the hordes of children who would have been so embarrassed by his action.
Imagine the shame that the whole lot of Soccer playing countries felt when they watched him butt that Italian player on the chest.
Imagine the whole French people who felt that his actions were not justifiable. Imagine the millions and millions of Soccer fans who wanted France to win but were disappointed when Italy won. Imagine the plight of the French Soccer team that could have won the FIFA World Cup this year. Now, just because of the foolish action of one man, no one knows if they will ever reach the finals any time soon again.
You would not want some one to burn in Hell for his/her mistake that so very nice of you but unless and until you are the person who is at the receiving end of a persons stupidity you cannot understand what goes through the minds of people who suffer the consequences of some idiots actions.

I say no. Because we are all guilty of of judging someone. God is more forgiving than man can ever be. Just because we do sin, and then ask forgiveness. We still have to accept the consequences for our actions. I hope this will answer your question?

ACIM (A Course in Miracles) declares that God's forgiveness is yours. Extend same to others by thought always or often. ACIM implies that God is misrepresented within the Bible and that Jesus was explained to others wrongly. The Bible tells what Jesus seemed to say, but the ACIM explains what Jesus meant. ACIM is a good course for recovery from churchianity fundamentalism.

do you EVER punish your children? Ever scare them to teach them a lesson? Do you lie to them and tell them there is a toothfairy...santa clause...easter bunny?
I'd rather know that i'm gonna pay and have the chance to get right than to be LIED to ALL my earthly existance and suffer the consequences.
No correlation. Its all about the truth. do you tell your kids the truth? well God does...Do you punish them to get then to do whats right ....God does...Do youjust forgive them and dont punish them when your kids mess up so the grow up a messup and have a hard time in life? do you TEACH them to lie by lying to them from such an early age by lying to them? Santa? Fairy?....come on be honest that will ALL come back on you . ALL you do will come back to you its only fair.
love you and hope you are blessed/

no. Caring parents punish their children for breaking their rules Is God any different. He has rules to govern us. Why blame God when rules are broken by us and not by Him. He gives us a choice to be good or bad. Once again why blame God?

No man can not be more forgiving than GOD. Look at JESUS, GODS son, whom died on the cross for ALL OF OUR SINS. Are the things your living for worth CHRIST dying for??????

yes of course...everything is a possibility...but it would depend on the factual definition of who is God...really you have to assume that God has man made qualities...which millions of human beings don't believe in

never... god is never 2 b compaired with man... if he forgives, nth is better, if he is mad, nth is worse...
so... a man's anger & forgiveness comes in between...
that's why its not possible at all for man 2 b more forgiving than god! :)
