Stiletto heels were not designed for running, or walking fast. They were meant to "show off" a womans lovely legs when she casually strolled into a room with grace.

Practice, practice, practice.
If you have another pair with the same height heel, use them so you don't wear the event shoes out prematurely. Wear them as long as possible each day. If you have or can get a pair that are higher, practice in those. After them, the ones for the event will feel like sneakers.

practice practice practice! I have been given my first pair while i grew to become into 17 or so and walked all over the abode on the carpet in them till i'd desire to sorta run from one end to the different. attempt to maintain maximum of your weight on the balls of your foot, no longer your heel, to evade the heel from skittering out from below you and twisting your ankle. placed a mirror at one end of the hall too, so which you discover ways to stroll like Grace Kelly and not Rosie O'Donnell. no longer something funnier to me than seeing a appropriate female donning stilettos and stomping around like she's donning Timberlakes. you additionally can get a number of those grippy issues you place below the only of your shoe so as that in case you hit a slick wood floor, your feet do no longer pass flying out from below you.

First start off in your home, (you will feel more comfortable in a familiar environment) Once you get use to that go to the store, or over a friends house. Pretty soon you will be working those heels. But you have to do this everyday, until you get the hang of it. Good Luck

When you figure it out, let me know. Of course, I'm so clumbsy I can hardly walk in tennis shoes, so maybe it wont help.
