You need to take the plug out of the bottom of you compressor tank. You can also install a seperator in line off of the tank. The compressor picks up the outside air and that is usually moisture filled, it is compressed into your tank. It needs to be let out once in awhile.

You have to install a water trap. The warm air coming out of the compressor is condensing in your tank and hose. Of your compressor is stationary, run a pipe out for 20 feet or so and angle it slightly back toward water trap with drain. Add another trap and the end of the piple. Keep both traps drained each time.

open the petcock valve on the bottom of the tank. If it is a large compressor leave it cracked a little so it always drains. If for some reason it doesn't have one let it fill to pressure and un plug it flip it over untill the exaust valve is on the bottom and plug a air gun into it or just a male valve to let the water out that way.

Should be a drain hole near the bottom. Install an in-line water separator, you can get at an auto parts store.
