You need to advertise and get custumers. I live in Melrose, same state as you. We have ladies who clean, they get work through word of mouth. You could also get a job at a local resturaunt and let people meet you and learn to trust you. By the way you are in the north we are in the south also in a lake area. We get hundreds of people through town on the weekends from the Capitol City and towns around. I know one woman and she makes a living doing it. Are you planning to put Merry Maid's out of business?

What I would do is get in touch with the Chamber of commerce in town or area. They probably have good knowledge of what you can can do to get started.

then apply for license then
hunt for business
