Why are they even trying? Batman 2008 will have someone else playing Joker??? Too early for a remake anyway. It's been only 17 years since Batman. Now they are rewriting the story. I know Batman 1989's story is different from the comics but I liked the way they made the Joker responsible for the death of Bruce Wayne's parents and how the story comes full circle at the end with Wayne finally getting revenge as Batman.
This new Batman Begins changes the story and makes it less interesting. Nicholson's Joker is classic. They should work with an entirely different villain such as the Mad Hatter or that villain with the puppet.

I agree with you. And rumor has it Heath Ledger will play the Joker. What a terrible casting job! I also had the same problem with Lex Luthor in the new Superman. No one will ever top Gene Hackman.

You must be open to new things, life would be so boring if you didn't explore new things. Loved Jack in this part myself but I'll watch to see what a different actor can do with it.
