I will be moving into a house that has these types of blinds but have never had them before and don't know anybody that has them either. I just need to know when It comes for time to clean these do I clean them some how or should I get in a professional to come in and do them.

There are companies that will come in, take down your blinds, take them for cleaning and bring them back & hang them for you. This provides a much deeper cleaning job than can be done at home and only has to be done every year or so. Of course if you smoke in the house or if the blinds are in the kitchen you might want to consider having them professionally cleaned more often than that.

Routine cleaning is simply dusting. Either use a rag, or you can buy a special blinds cleaner -- it's a funny looking foam duster for blinds. I prefer a rag, but I'm sure others will disagree with me. Occasionally you should wipe them down with warm water and basic dish soap or other multi-purpose household cleaner.

If the blinds are fabric or fabric covered, you have no choice but to vacuum them occasionally and send them out for annual professional cleaning.

I take mine to a car wash and hang them on the floor mat hangers and use the brush on them and then high pressure rinse them, or if I am being lazy I just use the soap setting spray them down real good and then rinse them with the high water pressure setting makes them look like new every time.

I take mine out in the yard and use a soft sponge mop on them then hang them up outside to dry.

Urinate into a large bucket. Mix with 2 parts water. Pour solution into spritzer bottle and lightly spray surface of blinds. Then the next time you take a dump, use the toilet paper to wiper off the blinds.
