Be very happy to do so, Dearheart, and they will be honest answers.
1) Yes (and he's still alive, thank God after a minor heart attack this last week)
2) Very firm, but very fair and very loving. I always knew I was loved.
3) Yes, I think by both. They were two sets of neighbors, but I have no clear memory, just the feelings and the dread.
4) No, not really, but I do talk better with Mama than with Father.
5)No she wasn't. Like Father she was firm but loving.
6)No.
7)No, not about being gay but just constantly teased. It was like everyone knew something about me that I didn't know. I'm still trying to put 2and2 together.
8)I have a great self-esteem; although somedays it and I are fragile) and I figured out long ago if I don't love me it doesn't really matter if the whole world would.
9) Nope. I'm marvelous and I have people who love me.
10) I can't ever remember being attracted to other females sexually except as friends. I was actually sexually ambigous while growing up. When I first met my Partner (of now almost 26 years) it was like an instant connection, sort of like "Oh. There you are!" She was the soul I was waiting for.
There you go, my Dear One. You have as honest of answers as I can give you. Blessings.

Ok, I feel like you are stereotyping gays, would you ask striaght people the same questions? But just to humor u,,,
Yes I had a mother growing up, she was and still is my best friend.
My mother was firm but gentle at the same time.
Yes, actually, I was molested. Dont remember it at all due to a very young age, but I was told it was my father.
Yes, obviously, I love my mom more than my dad because he was and is a deadbeat drunk child molester.
My father was a drunk, he was not controlling or passive.
My mother was not controlling or passive, she was firm in her beliefs that she instilled in me.
No, I wasnt teased about being gay, I was teased about looking boyish though, but then again, every child is teased about something.
I love myself very much.
No I dont hate myself.
I can remember being attracted to females at age 8.
Now, you should take the information that you get here, ask as many straight people the same questions, and see what this teaches you. Im 100% certain that all orientations will be about the same.

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah..
How old were you when you were sexually abused?
Why do you fall in love with gay men?
Did your mother slap you around?
Do you hate your self?
Do you feel sad because no other men love you accept a gay man?
Do you have to use a filler like religion to putty in all the empty holes in your heart?
Whats the farthest age back when you remember trying not to put other people down for who they are?
Do you ever remember being wrong?

Actually that ISN'T a learning tool, it's a checklist of almost every false stereotype your bunch is taught is true about all gay people.
Had a dad.
Firm father figure.
Never molested.
Loved my parents equally.
Mother wasn't controlling.
Neither was dad.
Everyone is teased.
Love myself, yep, sure do.
Hate myself, not at all.
Farthest age back? Hmmm, I've always been attracted. Never was interested in females other than as a friend.
Sorry. Your Stereotypes are completely untrue. You want real truth..

same lame crap all you homophobes think....
none of those "reasons" you state have ANYTHING to do with whether or not someone is gay or lesbian!
yes, i had a father growing up! I was NEVER molested by anyone...ever! I love my parents equally! I was not teased before I came out because no one could "tell" that I was. I am happy with who I am, I do not hate myself. I have a wonderful partner who loves me, and my family, friends and coworkers accept me for who I am. I have always and only ever been attracted to other women.
why do you people always think there was some event growing up that "changed" us? we were born the way God created us...and he makes no mistakes! if God didn't create homosexuals, there wouldn't be any!!
and this IS offensive because you repeat the same thing over and over and over....
pray for yourself to just let others live and let live and leave us alone!!
