my dad's parents are english but my dad grew up in germany so does that make me mostly english or german?

British by ancestry, but when it comes right down to it, you most likely are of Germanic decent do to the make-up of the British genetic base. The earliest conquerors of Britan (after the Romans) were of Germanic Blood, then were of Germanic and French blood (the good kind of French, I know, it almost is an oxymoron).

However; it depends I guess, on where is your citizenry from? That is, are you a citizen of either country?
And really, why does it matter? Are you in line for the throne in England? Are you next heir to some large German company? Who really cares? What matters is that YOU are you and no one else can BE you!
