Thanks for all the responses. W/we aren't new to the lifestyle but W/we Are new to the 'internet scene' not sure how long W/we're actually going to stick around.... some one actually 'curtseyed' in a chatroom. He had to leave the room because He was ready to die from laughing, that pretty much ended O/our internet browsing for the night. haha. Outside of the Renaissance Festival, i haven't ever seen anyone curtsey in my life. Oh well. Thanks again. I will be choosing my 'best answer' strickly based on volume of information. Have a great day.

If you want information concerning more of the D/S (domination/submission) aspects of BDSM, I'd recommend checking out castlerealm.com. Lots of good articles.

Frankly, the websites can be very hard to navigate, especially if you're new---because there are a lot of wannabe kinksters out there that have wild fantasies that just aren't too workable in real life. Approach with care. However, you may want to consider checking out br.org (Black Rose) and tes.org--both are reputable BDSM groups with a long history. See also links from these pages.

If you're willing to go to hardcopy books (and Amazon is discreet in mailing), the **best** books I know for beginners are Jay Wiseman's SM 101 (Greenery Press) and Miller and Devon's Screw The Roses, Send Me the Thorns (Mystic Rose Press). Screw the Roses also has a wonderful appendix with a lot of addresses and references.

Reputable publishers in the alt.sexuality/BDSM areas include Greenery, Mystic Rose, Cleis, and Down There. You may end up disagreeing with particular opinions or beliefs, but you won't be steered wrong in terms of "safe, sane, consensual".

Have fun, play safe!
