The past few weeks my family has been hinting that they think I am not straight and that "I need to get right with God". So I doubt they believe I am straight, and I never told them anything for them to think otherwise! In fact I insist that I am straight!
Also earlier today, one of my friends, who told me four months ago he was gay, asked me straight out if I was gay, I said no, then he asked if I was bi, again I said no. Knowing him, unless there was an obvious reason for asking such a question, he would not of asked...
So, do you think there is a tiny chance that as I deny being anything but straight, they might, even very slightly, believe I am straight...? If no, how can I make them...?

i know this is easier said then done from someone who cant relate. However, all you need to say to them to convince people you are straight is just tell them that you are. when someone asks you again say, 'yes i am straight, you can believe me or not believe me but i am. I know i am and thats all that matters so stop interrogating me for an answer that you are never going to get.' Sounds stupidly simple, but in this case it is all you can do. You either are straight or you're not and they can either believe you or not.
Can i ask one question, are you straight? for someone who isn't gay, you seem incredibly bothered by their accusations, this is probably why they are suspicious. by reacting you are feeding fuel to fire.

I have known of men who have been married for years with kids just suddenly decide that they are gay.
Generally, if you are sexually active with a girlfriend, people are more inclined to assume you are straight.
Conversely, the more 'straight' (i.e. macho) you try to act, the more gay you may appear. People will always make their own minds up about you, and generally, there's not a lot you can do to change that.
Be yourself. be patient with people, and everything will work out for the best.

"Get right with God?" That is the lamest thing anyone could say. God has nothing to do with it! You can't make anyone think anything that they don't want to. You should not have to appologize or fight for who you are gay or not, maybe your family should just love you for who you are instead of worrying about if your gay. As for your friend, who is gay, you might be guilty by association, and the obviouse reason would be he is attracted to you.

If you are straight and want to end the doubts just tell them that it is none of their business but if they must know you are straight and you would appreciate it if they would put their doubts to rest.
What they think has nothing to do with anything anyway and what they think of you is none of your business so I would tell'em one time flat out and then refuse to take any notice of their doubts looks or questions ever again.

Hi there John ....lol, I can see your dilemma, I think your having trouble convincing people because of the old adage:-
"Me thinks that he doth protest too much....." etc etc
To be honest I dont feel that you should have to justify yourself to anyone to be honest - but those that you love and are closest to (like family and the closest of friends) should love you and accept you for who, and as, you are without question!
You cant really make anyone feel or believe anything other than what they wish to believe ..... but this should all pass soon I would think .....

You should get this thought out of your mind and look for members of the opposite sex to have fun with. If you think something long enough eventually you will belkieve it yourself. That would be a bad thing to do, talk yourself into being gay when you're not

Have you asked them why they think you're gay? Don't get angry with them just try to find out. Do more listening to them than talking and you might find out why they think the way they do. Then you'll be in a better position to tell them the truth.

To get right with God all you have to do is absolutely nothing. the universe brought you into creation exactly as you are. You are part of the majesty of the universe no matter who you decide to give your love to. Love your friends and family in their confusion, be at peace with yourself and all others will find peace around you soon enough.

you know what you are thats all that matters, they will eventually work it out, i think the more you say your not gay, the more they think you are as your so determined you are not.
have you had a girlfriend, i ask this as if they have never seen you with a female they probably think this.
no matter what you say, they will believe what they want, so your in a no win situation.
just be yourself and let the comments fly over your head, you dont need to defend yourself

Wow, more issues than the Times. If your straight you are straight. Don't let anyone tell you about yourself, who's the expert for crying out loud?
