She did. They are telling her to take tylenol the cold kind and they keep telling her. She also has no money to see her doctor for two weeks. She was date raped. so don't give her **** for getting pregnant if she has no money. it wasn't her fault.

she needs to call the dr. they might be able to give her a perscription that would be right for her and the baby. Check and see if she has a advice nurse line that she can call on too for help.

Tylenol is the only safe thing that i know pregnant women can take. Anything else has asprin or IBP in it and that will harm or even kill the baby.

You need to be firm about getting her to the dr. if she is in that much pain she needs to go for the sake of her health and her baby. I was once in that position where i had no money to go and i almost died with my twins.

If the fever is above 101 she needs to go to the EMERGENCY ROOM NOW!!! Worry about the bill later! When she is better throw a "bill" party with your friends where they pay 3 - 5 dollars to get into the party that will go to pay the hospital bill.

Cant enjoy life when you are dead!

TAKE HER TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. BY LAW THEY CANNOT REFUSE TREATMENT TO ANYONE WHO IS IN NEED REGARDLESS AS TO IF THEY HAVE INSURANCE OR NOT. SHE NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION!

Please go to the DR. even if they cant give her anything, they can monitor her and make sure her health and the babys health is maintained.

------
If her fever is 103, that is lethal for a non pregnant adult!!!! she is playing clue with the grim reaper! CALL 911, SEND THEM TO HER HOUSE! THEY WILL TAKE HER! Tell them she is pregnant and is going to do harm to herself and her baby if she is not seen by someone YESTERDAY!

Tell her if she wants to keep that baby, that she needs to quit cooking it with her high body temp! itsnot a turkey!

First thing, calm down. I had a high fever (102) when I was pregnant, and my baby is fine. A fever that high may suggest an infection, so she HAS to see a doctor. A cool bath will help lower the temperature, without Tylenol. Stay in bed, rest as much as possible. Someone should be taking care of her.
As far as the fever goes, my OB/Gyn told me that pregnant women get sick all the time, they have fevers and most of the time, everything is fine. But she does have to see a doctor, regardless of finances, she may be seriously sick. She should be tested for strep ASAP

Tylenol is the only safe nsaid to take when pregnant. Do not take Motrin. If you have a fever the Tylenol will not hurt the baby, letting the fever go without doing something about it will.

So lets say you had a fever and went to the ER. What would they do ? give you two tylenol. Fever in some ways is good. It means your body is working to fight infection. The most important thing is to get it down promptly ! Tylenol, cool bath. When to worry is when it is over 102.F But always call your doctor so they can see where the source of infection is coming from.

Well I was going to say tylenol but I guess not if your friend is allergic. Ask the doctor or a pharmacist.

But, if your friend is pregnant and running a high fever and experiencing a sore throat she needs to see her doctor.

Headaches can be relieved by laying down and putting a cold rag on the forehead.

Since she has no money she may have to go to Planned Parenthood. They have doctors there that will be able to help her. Is it in her medical charts that she is allergic to Tylenol? If it is and they give it to her and she loses her baby she can SUE the hospital. If she mentions the word lawsuit, they will tell her what she can take!

Your friend should not self medicate when she is pregnant. Alcohol and smoking cause birth defects, so can other drugs. It is best to see a doctor and have him get all the facts. If she can't affort it, go to a free clinic. She doesn't need more problems by having a baby with birth defects.

She needs to go to the ER, a high fever while pregnant is very serious, if she tells the ER her allergies and they ignore her and give her something harmful anyway she can sue.

SHE DEFINITELY NEED TO GET THE DOCTOR'S ADVICE ON WHAT TO TAKE. SHE NEED TO DO THAT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. DID SHE TELL THE DOCTOR THAT SHE IS ALLERGIC TO TYLENOL. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS INFORMATION WILL HELP, BUT WHEN I WAS PREGNANT I TOOK IBUPROFEN, COUGH DROPS, AND DRANK HOT LEMON TEA. AND GET A LOT OF REST.
