I am in need of some help. I like to think of myself as a progressive liberal, so I go out of my way to help others. After watching a documentary on how hard it is for ex-cons to get their lives together after prison, I decided to do something. I opened my home to some men who were getting out of prison soon. At first it was ok, my wife and daughters were a little angry but the men were very happy. They began doing things other then what I told them, like eating my snacks or wearing my clothes in mock video's of me. They would bust into the bathroom and take pictures of me on the toilet. One of them started dating my daughter, which is great, but she is 18 and he is 48 and has AIDS. They sell my things and invite their friends over for nightly parties, which makes it hard to sleep. And when they get drunk, they harrass my wife and daughters to no end. I don't know what to do. I know I can't turn these men away, after what society has done to them, but I'm losing my family and career!

Ok so you are willing to lose your family and career over some ex cons that are harrasing your wife and daughters. Sorry but you can only help them if they want to be helped and they obviously aren't ready.Your job is to protect your wife and daughters. Get them out and tell them to never come back because they are ruining your life, they have no boundaries. You may have to use law enforcement.

I'm all over the place in political beliefs.. but lol.. I'm studying to be a cop, and believe in strict punishments for crimes.. and they are violating you and your family, you reached out to them. Helped them out a lot.. and they are just being assholes.. call the corrections facility, and have their parole revoked or kick them into half way houses or whatever.. most criminals are guilty, and almost all will commit a crime again.. they just do, because if they committed it in the first place, they got something screwed up inside.. and they will do it again and again at no stop for many of them.. it is true that some people commit crimes because they are just so ******* poor that they need to steal.. but most do crimes for drug addictions or for thrill/ to mock society.

To help others is wonderful. But to allow your family to be
disgraced in the way you have described is untenable. The
cons have got to go and you must restore order to your house.
You may have to eat humble pie a little. Don't worry, God will
help you and God will help the cons if they will turn to Him.

WOW Sounds like these folks need a halfway house where there is no women and children. I understand your sympathy, but you are enabling them by letting them walk all over you and dissobey your rules. Either lay down the law or kick them out...and make sure you change the locks.

you should've done a background check first, please call the police and their parole and probation officers and have them picked up immeately you and your family may be in danger, tell them you are in fear for your lives so they come right away, they should have gon to a half way house first.you must get them out of your house they are disrespecting you and hurting your family and stealing from you report them and send them back to jail where they belong ,they blew it, please call the police your lives are in danger.. be a man it's you or them you gave them a chance they blew it call the police.
