Sounds good to me, also it should be a law that people stay to the right of escalators and allow for those in a hurry to walk up/down the right side. I mean I've been to cities where this was clearly not known. Montreal being one of them, that is the least polite city in the world that I have seen. Just because I can't speak french doesn't mean you are better than the rest of the world sigh

Because traffic laws vary country by country. In many countries you drive on the left. Consequently, walking on the left is also appropriate whilst there.
