LOL...some people happen to just open there mouth when they are drunk...they just happen to spill the beans, but others seem to go on a rampage and like myself I become mellow...but in other words, it does not work on all people!!!

Alcohol reduces one's inhibitions, but I think it depends on the person and their personality whether they will spill the truth while they are drunk. The truth *can* come out when one is drunk and alcohol makes it easier for that to happen..

Yes, a drunk man speaks the mind of a sober man. Alcohol causes people to lose their inhibitions. Get someone drunk enough and it's just like giving them sodium pentathol (truth serum). As long as you can keep them conscious enough to answer your questions.

Some people bare their souls when they drink.

Some people make up stuff when they drink.

It really depends on the individual who is drinking.

How about the girl on the other end of the drunk individual?

I remember a boy telling me he swam across the Columbia River with a lit cigarette in his mouth and did not get it wet. I was 18 and I believed him.

LOL...good luck!

What is said when drunk has been thought out before hand. Take it from me, a recovering alcoholic. Oh ya, and boy
do I regret some of it. I have made amends where I could, so...that's all I can do.

depends on what kind of drunk you are. Sometimes the truth comes out, sometimes lies come out.

The Romans used to say "in vino veritas" : "in wine there is truth".

That is to say, when one is drunk, his inhibitions are lowered and he blathers out all his secrets - which are usually true!

not always. it may be a version of the truth but not the whole truth.

ask me if I ever cheated on my wife. the answer you get would probably be yes. I cheated on my first wife but not this one. the question wasn't specific enough.
Ask me if I cheated on my current wife and I still might get confused and say yes.

I think stupidity comes out and alot of repressed personal pain within that person which often manifests itself in saying hurtful things about others because of how that pain has made you feel.
