I think the best games on the game cube are
Resident Evil 4 and Super Mario Sunshine! These 2 games are very different but both great!

There's a few awesome games. My personal opinion?
SINGLE PLAYER: Resident Evil 4
MULTIPLAYER: Super Smash Bros. Melee
OVERALL: Resident Evil 4
RE4 is one of the greatest games ever made, hands-done. It's full of brilliant action, cut-scenes, a gripping story and just controls and fun that has been missing from nearly every game that came out in 2005. There's no way you could be disappointed.
Gamespot gave it the score of 9.6, the 2nd highest rated Gamecube game of the entire website.

Super Smash Bros Melee is the only reason that gets every friend together and play (Now that Brawl is coming for the Nintendo Wii, who can say no to this?). That and RE4, Metroid Prime 2, and Mario Kart Double Dash.

Resident Evil 4 for some single player action
Super Smash Brothers Melee for some button-mashing fun
Phantasy Star Online because it has a real hook to it, to me at least
the Metroid Series (they really take advantage of all of the systems resources)
