i dont wear eyeliner on the top, but i wear it on the bottom, and i put it above my bottom lashes, not below, i think it looks better that way. so pull ur bottom eyelid down a little then ul c a strip of skin above ur lashes, thats were the liner goes. hold the eye with one hand and put on with the hand u rite with
good luck

Are you putting it on the inside of the lid or above and below your lashes? It you want it on the inside of the lid, it won't stay there very long because your tears will wash it off fast. But if you still insist on doing it that way then buy waterproof liquid eyeliner. It shouldn't "poke you in the eye" if you apply it above the upper lashes and below the lower. If your eyes are close set, don't extend the liner to the inner corner, stop at the mid-point. Go to CoverGirl.com for hints on how to apply eyeliner and other make-up hints as well.

i would try using a liquid eyeliner on ur upper eyelid. it can be alittle messy at first. I would pull ur eyelid to the side alittle so it brushes on better. You can clean up your mistakes with a wet q-tip. I would practice a few times so you get the hang of it. i wouldn't use the liquid on your bottom eyelid b/c it will smear when ur eyes waters. to not poke urself in the eye with a pencil ....flatten the eye pencil. you can run the tip on your hand so that its not so pointed at the tip. then gently pull down and glide it across your eyelid. practice makes perfect. it might help to buy some eye make-up remover so you can practice a few times.

Place a compact mirror at eye level. You may need to stack things in order to do this. Make sure your elbow can rest on a table. Close your eye slightly. Apply your eyeliner as close to the lashes as possible. If you need a demonstration of this, go to www.maybelline.com and they have video demonstrations.

I use MaryKay eyeliner because it goes on smooth and is suttle. Pull the edge of your eye gently(like you're chinese, No offense to those chinese people)and use the same pressure that you use to shave and guide the tool towards your outer eye. Hope this helps
You can get the MaryKay eyeliner anywhere.
