i have a 2000 isuzu rodeo and when you stop at a red light and take back off there is a loud popping sound it has done it ever since i owned the vehicle and i have checked everything i know but can not find anything. it almost sounds like the suspesion more than anything else. has anyone else had this problem???

most often times a noise like this is due to a loose bolt/rivet along the frame work. close inspection can most of the time find it, but sometimes not. check closely along where the crossmembers bolt to the frame, and where the trans mount bolts to the crossmember. good luck!

Sounds like a ball joint going bad. Alot of newer cars have greaseless ball joints meaning you cant do anything about it except replace it. Take it to a shop and have them checked.

U might want to check the motor mounts and all ball joints

Ask the dealer if their are any TSB's (technical service bulletins) concerning this problem. Or maybe you can get same on line?

If it is a manual transmission, I would have the clutch plate checked out.
