Maybe you need a new battery. If you've had the car for more than 4 years without replacing the battery, then that might be the problem. A car battery's life is approximately 4 years.

have no idea what kind of car your dealing with but it sounds to me like a fuel pump or a timing belt/chain. have some one to check the fuel pressure first if low go to the fuel filter and replace then check again most cars run about 50 to 60 psi when the ignition is turned on. if every thing pans out make sure the timing belt hasn't slipped or broke. when the car shakes as you said this is more than likely the problem. have a professional do this work. as you have rolled the engine and it will have to be re-timed. hope this helps

We had that problem with our Alero (01), just put $700 in it to fix the ignition. What a bunch of crap. Our battery was only a year old so we knew it wasn't that. Sorry. Good luck

Could be it got too hot, check the water level in the radiator. If it's not that check for spark and make sure your engine belts are in place. I am assuming you have gas.
