I asked this question earlier and got some replies but I really want to ask an actuall phsychiatrist about this burning sensation in my chest/throat after I take my adderall and the redness on my cheeks and slightly on my arms. Thanks!

You don't need a psychiatrist to answer that question... what you do need to do is make an appointment to see your Primary Care Physician. Good Luck.

Sorry, I'm not a doctor but here are some side effects to Adderall I found on rxlist.com. The GI symptoms may be heartburn. The redness on your cheeks may be an increase in blood pressure. You may need another med to take the place of your Adderall.


Cardiovascular: Palpitations, tachycardia, elevation of blood pressure, sudden death, myocardial infarction. There have been isolated reports of cardiomyopathy associated with chronic amphetamine use.

Central Nervous System: Psychotic episodes at recommended doses (rare), overstimulation, restlessness, dizziness, insomnia, euphoria, dyskinesia, dysphoria, depression, tremor, headache, exacerbation of motor and phonic tics and Tourette’s syndrome, seizures, stroke.

Gastrointestinal: Dryness of the mouth, unpleasant taste, diarrhea, constipation, other gastrointestinal disturbances. Anorexia and weight loss may occur as undesirable effects when amphetamines are used for other than the anorectic effect.

Allergic: Urticaria.

Endocrine: Impotence, changes in libido.

Well I'm a freelance proctologist. Same as a phsychiatrist only different. We both get to see alot of azzholes. Anyways, seems you might be having an alergic reaction. If I were you I would go to the ER if it gets any worse.

ask a nurse , call a nurse hot line
I think that drug is for asthma
spelled aderol I think
ask your phamacist
