According to the laws of average and genetics you can try and predict by averaging the number of brothers and sisters your baby's father has. then look at how many brothers and sisters his father had. Since the father is the one to determine sex, you may be able to get a good guess. You stand a 50/50 chance of being right. The only way to know for sure with out an ultrasound or amnio is to give birth.

Sometimes you can tell with the heartbeat rate...a boy si lower, and a girl is higher...but that isn't always the same...the baby could be sleeping or moving around and that an mess up the heartbeat. Other than that...no...sometimes you can't tell with an ultrasound either if the baby won't stay still

Yes. It takes roughly nine months. Sorry, but that is it. Unless you are against an ultrasound, that is the only way to tell that is not invasive. Unless you need to know the sex of your baby, there is no harm in waiting.

The ONLY other ways to know before the baby is born is to do a CVS or Amnio. These tests uses the chromosomes of the baby. Everything else like heartbeat, etc are all old wives tales.

Ahh no! People say if you carry low and wide its a girl and high its a boy. But this isn't reliable method and many can be fooled. If you want to know get the ultrasound. Keep in mind this isn't even 100 %.

You can use the wives tales to predict the gender of the baby but it is not a 100% chance it will become true. According to the wives tales my baby was going to be a boy and she turned out to be a girl.

Their is a test that you can take . It must be very new because I have never heard of it before. It cost over $ 200. I wouldn't trust it though.

my doctor herself guessed i was having a boy just by listening to the baby's heartbeat. she said it is an old wives tale that often-but not always-turns out to be true.
