I think you should be thinking about calling a shelter in an area away from where you are and going there. If he loved you he would not hurt you and you definitely wouldn't be scared for your life. If you are dead who will look after your children if you have any ( and you said scared for our lives) and what kind of life will they have if they are living in fear all the time. What your children learn they will carry on with their children so save them and yourself now. It will hurt you to leave but not as bad as having one of your children or family members killed and you left behind to deal with it. He will not change..not today not tomorrow and probably never so hanging in there won't give you any rewards or bonus points.
