Yes, good hygiene practice is important. You can always tell a good (clean) childcare setting by how clean the bathroom and baby change station are. They should practice proper hand washing - staff and children. Easy access soap and disposable or seperate hand towels.

teaching basic hygiene is a must in any setting. children need to learn this at an yearly age so it will carry out into adulthood

If you are asking is it important to show children good hygiene yes, it does not matter if it is school, daycare or at home. They learn by example.

good hygiene is a key thing to teach children it is good for their health and for the good of the other children!washing the hands is #1 in my book! teaching little ones to do this for one minute will be a good asset for them!

I think teaching the basic is the most important...washing your hands before eating, after playing, using the restroom...
usually once they understand those the rest comes pretty easy.
