have a 1992 dodge caravan single point fuel injection that seems to be getting to rich a fuel mixture (its running real erratic) could this be a bad fuel regulater valve or maybe a bad fuel injecter?

all the cars i ever saw with a bad regulator wouldn't even start. when an injector goes bad or even just starts to leak a littlle , the performance will become erratic. check the cheap things first.

Usually, if the reg. goes bad, the fuel will not have enough pressure to fire the injector.

Have you checked the spark plugs to see if wet? If they are it could be too rich or could be bad plugs. Lots of times the fuel system is blamed first when the real problem is somewhere else. After doing the basic tuneup checks as well as checking the fuel pressure and still a problem take it to a mechanic you have faith in.

If the fuel regular is ddeeefective, it will inject to much fuel.
Have the fuel pressure checked and see if it is to hi.
If it is, it could also be the O2 senser. It will also make it run rich
