The ones you buy at the store, and real answers please, do they break the sound barrier?

Tell me how high they go (real answers, please), and I'll take a crack at how fast. I doubt that any break the sound barrier. If nothing else, that's forbidden by federal law over the continental US. I think model manufacturers would have to comply with that law.
