Not a very tolerant gesture is this, is it? The world wants to get rid of Christian holidays (Christmas and Easter) and other Christian related topics. Yet, at the same time, we are also warned, by the same crowd, not to even "hurt" the feeling of say, the Muslims. What's going on here? Do they not think we'd see through this smoke screen of theirs?
The key is that we Christians and supporters of ours to have our collective voices heard for the world must know that we are not doormats!
As for attacking Christianity, Jesus has already warned us of it in the Bible. It has been done since day one and it will continuously be done. So, it is not a surprise. That is not new. What is more important for us Christians is to know when and how we fight back or, in Christina speak, defend our faith and stand our ground for it is also clear that we Christian are not door mats either! So, if they wish to ban Christmas, we, Christians have the right to demand making say, Halloween, illegal.

Of course it will not become illegal to celebrat Christmas in the UK; there is absolutely no evidence to support such a stupid hypothesis.
As we live in a multi-cultural society we will begin to celebrate more and more Religious Festivals.
The only people who seriously object to Christmas are Jehovah's Witnesses who do not believe that Jesus was born at Christmas, and they are part of the Christian church.
On some occasions the word Christmas is being replaced; partly because they last for longer than the actual period of Christmas, and partly because other faiths have periods of celebration at similar times.
It is hypocritical of people to complain that "Christmas starts too early" and then complain when alternative phrases are used to describe month-long celebratory festivals (such as the Winterfest we had in Stoke a couple of years ago).

What a silly question. Obviously just a lame excuse to make an uneducated jibe at multiculturalism.
And just for the record Christmas is a pagan celebration hijacked by Christians in order to win over converts.
Don't forget to celebrate the equinox!

Not so sure Christmas will become illegal, but we might have to stop associating it with the birth of Christ. Anyway, many of the Christmas traditions have pagan origins!

I think you will find some left wing Labour councils started last year. It is getting to the point that unless you are a Muslim it is a crime to participate in your own Religion. This is not the fault of Muslims its fault of our New Labour Government. Political Correctness has destroyed the Christian religion and way of life as it has destroyed being a child. There will be a back lash and Blair and his cronies will be responsible.

I know! I think it is crazy as this is traditionally Christian country. I wonder if it is fuddy duddies being over-PC or religious groups? I know for instance that in the Koran Jesus is mentioned (quite significantly, as it is believed he has yet to return to Earth) so don't see why us Muslims would have a problem celebrating his birth.

They already stopped it in a town a couple of years ago didnt they? They renamed it after something from Harry Potter! No doubt it will become illegal soon in case we offend other religions.

Elect people who run on a Pro-Christian format or start a movement. If it does happen the people are to blame for allowing it to occur.

It is merely a reflection of the degeneration of society, or a reflection of evil in the world. Christians will always be under attack, the Bible tells us that. Keep your faith intact, and be alert, but not worried.
