I have heard rumors that the ps3 will only be able to run on hdtvs. is that true? I hope it is, so people will realize that the wii is best! (thats an opinion)

No that is not true at all. The ps3 will look the best played on a HDTV, but it will run just fine on any old t.v that you have. Seeing how the price of HDTV are coming down, it is most likely that most Americans in the next 3-5 years will have an HDTV in there house, and the Wii unfortunately does not support HDTV at all. (now that's a hidden problem) The Wii also does not have the graphics or the games that the PS3 does so the Wii is hurting there as well, once the novelty of the stupid controller wears off people will see the Wii for what it is, and that is a second rate system. The PS3 comes with a blue-ray DVD player that cost 1000.00 bucks just by itself and the Wii does not. The Wii is way behind in every major category, except in price. I'm sorry you will have to settle for a second rate system because you can't get mommy and daddy to pony up 1000.00 buck for you. The Wii will sell some units because of it's price, but in the end the PS3 will be on top of the mountain once again. (and that's my opinion)

the only reason y wii is gonna do pretty good for maybe the first year or so, is because of their price and their controller interactive games, other than that THEY SUX!!! i got so disappointed on the gamecube when it first came out ughhh... didn't even use dvd yet they use last gen mini cd. sooooooo disappointed. but ps3 wouldn't sell pretty good and won't make as much profit cuz of their price and only die hard fans of sony or people who go for really powerful systems will spend 500 to 600 bucks for em. i would definetly buy ps3 but instead i just bought a $2000 custom built comp lolz. but wii will also do good cuz it's child friendly and lox of parents will support it and OMG it's POKEMON!!!! the children screams. THE NEW ZELDA GAME- the children screams. IT'S HALO!!!! AHHHHH-screams the frantic children to their mommies. MOMMY THAT GAME IS EVIL AND SCARING ALIENS!!!-says the children. XBOX AND PS3 IS TOO EXPENSIVE AND EVIL FOR MY VULNERABLE HELPLESS LITTLE CHILD!!!-crys the mommies
but that's a rumor, sony said ps3 will work for standard def. TV's

This is absolutley false, only a rumor. The PS3 works fine in standard definition. They'd be shutting out a huge share of the market. I heard something like only 20% of people have hd already.
Oh and by the way PS3 will DOMINATE!( just an opinion). Oh no, I just gave away I'm a fanboy. Oh well.

Its all a rumour.
PS3 will also support old tvs
So it stands as
PS3 will support both old and new HDTV while WII only only supports old tvs.that says it all
