When writing it takes ages for the words to appear, and it somtimes asks if I want to stop scripts. the words do appear but well after I've wrote them!!

I have the same error. But not as bad. I sometimes find the words appearing with a lag - it must be a lag on the server. this happens normally on the Internet and you can test by pinging on IRC. It is probably a temporary problem. Try switching to another catagory of question. the lag may be due to you connecting to an overseas server rather than the local one. All the servers are connected together. I'm in England and usually do questions on the UK server - but never know really. I often end up on the US server or Canadian server.

If your computer's memory is full or close that's the problem. This can really mess up the speed of ANYTHING on your computer. Try deleting some stuff.

This type of symptom indicates your PC is at fault not yahoo. Sounds like your PC is running at 100% CPU utilization.

trying to run too many programs, or watching a video/listening to music slows down my computer so much!

maybe your computer slow? due to a anti-virus prog maybe or something i donT know...
