I don't know. It wouldn't do for me. It was a relief when my daughter outgrew hers. It would appear she is inheriting my minimalistic tendencies.
What's more scary is the women who give them all names and personalities.

It's not weird at all, one of my girlfriends has quite a large collection. The only strange cuddly toy that I have these days is my husband. I have a lot of other toys now that I'm all grown up, I purchased most of them from http://www.allglasssextoys.com/

Well, my GF has loads of bears and cuddles a toy dog at night, but my PC desk is littered with Star Wars paraphenalia, so it kinda balances out (as people read this they're thinking "HE'S A STAR WARS GEEK! I KNEW IT! And to that I say yes -- yes I am. But I'm not an Ewok & Jar-Jar hating "Original Trilogy rules! Special Editions and Prequel Trilogy suck!" buffoon -- and I can laugh about it, too, like I did here. Ahem. Sorry, this really isn't about me. Sorry about that.)

I think that it is a security issue most of the time, and often an indicator of relationship maturity. They are gifts from friends, family and ex's....and women have a hard time letting go. So instead they keep around mediocre, thoughtless gifts that some man picked up at the local 7-11.... hoping that it will reassure them that someone loves them.

As a teddy bear collector, I say no. I have lots of teddy bears around my bedroom because I collect them. My husband even helps me find special bears and supports my teddy bear habit!!

Having a whole room full may be a bit much, but there's nothing wrong with having a few special soft toys - I should know there are 5 sitting on my bed right now!

I have collected bears of all kinds since I was younger but now I just have collectible ones or ones my family has given me. It's not weird.
