The best way to spot a fakey LV is to check the cut of the leather on the outside of the purse. Louis Vuitton spends a ton of money on there mongrammed leather and would NEVER cut through the monogram LV to create a seam. So basically if you see any cut off LV's on the outside of the bag, you've got a fake!

Also true LV products come with a certificate of authenticy and labeled inside (all though those are easier to counterfeit)

First of all, you should only be buying brand names from the stores they are designated for. Getting "brand names" from other questionable locations is never a good idea. Second, the name of the company or brand is usually placed somewhere on the inside or outside of the item you are purchasing. Always make sure that you get the correct brand and that you know HOW to spell the brand name. There are some companies out there who make stuff very similar looking to designer brand names and might even have tags that LOOK like the designers' but mispelled by one letter.

LV and other designer products are not sold at flea markets, on eBay, or the streets of New York for $9 per bag. If a very black man from Africa has LV purses spread out on a dirty blanket, it is probably not the real thing.

If the initials are misspelled, it is probably a fake. If you see a woman wearing shoes from Payless, the LV purse is probably a fake.

Don't buy it unless it has a receipt from the Louis Vuitton store--even if it has a receipt, it might not be authentic. They have knock-offs that even come with receipts now. Be careful!

who cares? It's a real _____________(insert article here). It has substance and you can touch it, feel it, hold it. Why does it matter if so and so's name is on it? All things had to be designed by somebody. It's just snobbish that you have to have some name on your stuff.

LOL. The one that costs a butt load of money is the real one, anything cheap or a "Great bargain" is not the real thing.
