The Falcons. They have absolutely destroyed the Panthers and the Bucs. Both of those teams were in the playoffs last season and just about every expert pegged Carolina as the team to beat.

I am afraid to say it but the Falcons seem to have figured out a way to make Michael Vick work as a quarterback, hint: he's a better runner than a passer. They have gashed two consecutive top line defenses for 250 and 300 yards rushing. Their defense is also playing great. Right now I don't think any other team is playing as well.

I would say that Baltimore is the best team due to the fact that they have the best unit in football. Of course, they haven't played a good offense yet, but if no one can score on them their offense won't have to do much. Playing Cleveland next week will just give their D more confidence and momentum.

Five horses have won the Preakness and Belmont since Affirmed, with Point Given doing it in 2001 after finishing an inexplicable fifth at the Derby and Afleet Alex doing it in 2005 after a third at Churchill Downs.

So far I would say Jacksonville. They have a good defense. They beat Dallas and the Steelers. Big game this Sunday vs the Colts.

A little early to put one team in the front as clear cut favors...
Chicago - played two lesser teams but have a sick D...expect them to go deep this year again...
Baltimore - same case as Chicago...they do have to play Pitt and Cincy twice expect them to contend but O production could hurt..
Cincy...Tough schedule but a definite contender..
Indy - it is indy...the division is not that great, but they have Peyton, soyou can't count them out..
San Diego - great front 7 o D...best RB in the game (maybe of all time)..inexperience at QB could hurt them though..

The Eagles have looked pretty good despite the bad loss to the Giants, they seem to have a pretty good recieving core, and good defence, and a healthy McNabb. The Bears have also looked impresive.
