doesn't do it. I need to figure out a way to punish her that won't get me thrown in jail. Any ideas?

throw alot of things on the carpet like small stuff (peanuts, crushed chips, popcorn) she'll get annoyed of it eventually and vacume

Since you are so obsessed with the carpet, why don't you get off your butt and do it yourself. I don't know where you men get the idea that we should do everything when you are capable of doing things in the house yourself. You are crazy punish her for that or anything. No wonder she want do it.

Then you vacuum it . it must not really bother you if you let it stay that way. You are just finding things to* nit pick *her about. You don't need to punish her . she is being punished enough being with you. I hope you are thrown in jail you arrogant jerk..

Please tear out the carpet and give both yourself and your wife a break. No housework chore (except cooking, perhaps, but may I recommend take-out?) should NEED to be done every single day. Life's too short to waste on vacuum-once-a-day carpet!

Relax, is it that big of a deal? Life is too short to worry, if the floor doesn't need it, most people vaccum only 1-2 times a week, i think you may be a little over doing it!!!!
But if its that big of a deal break potato chips up and leave them in a spot on the carpet people will see, this makes her have to vaccum them up....

Sweeping is easier on the back, neck and shoulders. Pull up the carpet and get wood floors.

does she work? actually it's better for your carpet to be vacuumed only once a WEEK...... better yet suck it up and buy a KIRBY. (pardon the pun) if this is your biggest problem with your wife you are LUCKY. stop being so picky and focus on the positives!!!!
