My bf has a husband. We all envy her because he's such a great guy, he gives her his paychecks, rarely hanges out late, and is a great father. She finally confided in me and told me that he's never in the mood to have sex but is very affectionate. They have sex less than twice a month. Could he be A-Sexual?

Some guys just aren't very sexual. Maybe something bad happenned to him when he was an adolescent and now he has issues with sex? It could be many things, but it's definately NOT abnormal or "asexual"

Sounds like his interests lie elsewhere. Having sex less then 2x a month isn't the worst thing that can happen in marriage. If he had a higher sex drive, he'd be looking at porn, at other women, hanging out "with the guys" and all that. I don't know what you mean by "a-sexual"; seems like he just has a low sex drive. My fiancé is the same way, and most of the time, it's a blessing; we do a lot of stuff together without worrying about having sex all the time. I don't think it's that abnormal.

If he is happy with little sex and so is she, then there shouldn't be a problem. To some, sex isn't important. It is kind of weird that a guy would not be in the mood for sex. That may just be him or he might have some problems that affect his sex drive like low testosterone or being sexually abused in the past. She should be honest with her husband and ask about his sexual needs and preferences.

No. Some men just don't feel the urge as much. Also, she may want to find out if there was someone else in his life earlier who he lost in some way. This can cause men to move on but not feel much anymore.
Also, ask her if they enjoy it everytime they do have sex or if it is just sort of there as filler. Most likely he's got some psychological issues.

He could be asexual. Maybe he just has a low drive and would benefit from seeing a sex therapist or doctor?

I always thought that A-sexual meant that something reproduces on its own.
He could be a homo-sexual though.

he's probably cheating on his wife at lunch with the office secretary or she is fat, doesn't get turned on by her after she had kids, etc. Probably not a-sexual, probably masterbates a lot. b/c he doesn't want to beg her or initiate sex with her.
