you shouldnt be binge drinking as it will only do the liver damage, and your body could shut down if you do this all the time, you would be better sticking to having no more than 2-3 drinks a day as supposed to drinking loads at the weekend.

I'm not trying to be rude, just being straight with you: Binge drinking is hard on the average adult body. You are not young, you are 40, and your body is less resilient than your 25-yr. old counterpart.
And I'm quite amazed you actually think you can binge drink safely when you have 2 serious health conditions and are taking medication for one, on top of being middle-aged.
Go see a doctor if you're having drastic changes in your heart rate. That's a no-brainer. It's likely connected to an electrolyte imbalance.
And consider you may be an alcoholic, given all you'll risk for to overdrink.

Binge drinking can mess up your sugar and fluid levels, which in turn can cause a high heart rate. If it continues into next day, seek treatment. And you might want to consider not binge drinking. Try weed instead.
