well, at least you seek to decide between the two.
my roomie in college, was a fairly smart guy. but he chose to drink instead of study.
he was on the verge of flunking out, until he decided to get drunk and go out for a spin afterwards. he got a DUI, he was 19, and his parents had him withdrawn from out college. this was about 4 months ago.
if you care about your future, i would put down the Jack Daniels or Jim Bean, or whatever is your preference. And study to make the grade. Some say that college is a time to drink and have fun before life. It's not. It's getting you ready for your future.
Ask yourself, which is better: a brief time of fun drinkin' with the buddies followed by a low paying career forever? Or a time of study and devotion to schoolwork, with a life with a well-paying job, and plenty of time to have fun?
drink if you want, I ain't stopping you. Just spend the most of your time studying. If you must drink, do it when you have nothing else to worry about. Drink Responsibly.

Geesh. Go drink, but why bother to study? Make room in your classes for someone that is committed to their education.

You can do both -- but study first, then drink.
It doesn't work well the other way around.
