Who made you the "decider' of morality?
for example, you preaching your personal religious dogma as 'right'.
Our constitution was created to intercept and shoot down fanatics of all persuasians.

Why do South Africans support things that are wrong and disreagrd things that are right?
Why do Mulsims support things that are wrong and disregard the right?
Why do Jews support things that are wrong and disregard the right?
Why does a Buddhist support things that are worng and disreagrd the right?
Why do christians support things that are wrong and disreagrd teh right?
It seems that culture and religion affiliation have nothing to do with it. People themselves make poor choices when they support what is worng. They make poor choices when they disregard what is right. My Grandpa lent a friends a lot of money that was never repaid. My grandpa died a poor man; he supported what was wrong, but ended up supporting the right. My sister dated a great guy until he abused her. She supported what was right and ended up supporting what was wrong.
The chooice is ours. How do we respond when good things happen? Do we welcome our troops home? Do we give them jobs despite their disabilities? How do we respond when bad things happen? Do we stand idly by hile historico-religious monuments are removed? Do we put up new ones. Do we shrug we judges say ,'no pryaer in school" or do we show our children how to act out Paul's command to "pray cotninually." Why do we oppoese gay rights when God made all of us people to and created all men with certain inalienable rights? How do we respond when one group of pople pressures others to allow their group special privielges (oil companies excepmpt from tax laws, men marrying men, politicians rasing their pay faster than they raise ours)? These are all qeustions for us to answer as we live as salt in the world, a world tainted by humankind's original sin.

Although I may agree with you in objecting to the removal of these things from the public forum, this is America.....and the rest of the people have the same right to petition for the removal of these specific things that you mentioned.
Most of the religious people in the US are not involved in the political debate of such things, and so it falls to few to defend them....
These few are out numbered and out gunned for the most part, and there is the story....I hope you like it.....
American Christianity is for the most part "health and wealth", with allot of holes in the theology.....We have judged and condemned and rarely have we remembered the things that Christ did that could have guided us, IE.. John 8:7, he said " he who is with out sin among you, let him cast the first stone."
Is it so hard to see the loss that we have come to possess...We are at the crossroad, the rest of the nations people no longer wish to believe.... we have already reach the point of no return, the choices have been made and though some will still come to understand the rest will seek their own way for their own gain, and pleasure..

PC dear...and it is our own fault.
Why the Hell does being gay mean you should have "rights" anyway, that is "rights" because of your gayness???? I am straight, married, a mother, work full time, clean my home, take showers, pay taxes, I dont litter, I am kind to animals, the elderly and friendly and warm to others, I am a Christian and a Pro Life advocate, I offer friendship and compassion to others, I dont abuse the welfare system or ask for handouts, I dont steal, use drugs or engage in fighting, vandalizing or criminal activity of any kind, I dont even speed....WHY DONT I INSIST ON MY RIGHTS, FOR MY "GOODNESS"?
Removing prayer from school, B.S. if some muslim child came to school with a carpet and threw himself down on it for prayer and even ONE kid laughed at him they would be expelled, A CHRISTIAN child is NOT permitted to fold their hands and pray without ridicule and the teacher would probably call the parents with "concern" about their behavior and disturbing the class.
Removing the 10 comandments....again PC B.S., If in America we embrace all religions WHY do Americans (liberals) insist on denouncing Christianity?
In the end, ALL of them will know who God is on judgment day...
I am adamently Christian, dont wait to be accepted for it, see it as an honor to be persecuted for my beliefs by others....Christians are the target for the far left liberals.
God cannot be defeated by man, or liberals.

For JEN glad to see you are a wonderful God fearing community minded hard working clean, kind person, very much like some of my gay friends. The only difference is they are not so judgemental. "Gay" people are looking for equality , nothing special, If they have to pay taxes why should they not have equal rights. What was that old saying about,"Taxation without representation is tyranny."

Not all Americans.
But, speaking for myself, I would rather remove all of the above than to have to have all the others included. Y'know?
To clarify: Go ahead, take the 10 down (they're written on every person's mind and heart). Go ahead, take prayer out of school (I want my child to pray his own way anyway, and he can in school), gay rights? Not yet. Removing God from their foundation (He NEVER was THEIR foundation).
Don't worry. He's still on His throne!

This is America, there is freedom of religion. Which is what you are focusing on... You need to consider others who are not Christian living in the US. There are Muslims, Jews, and others who do not believe in these values.
As for gay rights, that is a personal choice and others should not have to be affected by your decision.
What about civil rights? America is a model of values.
I think you're conceited and arrogant.

Your values may be right for you, and good for you if they are.
My values may be good for me, and reprehensible to you.
I suggest you stay satisfied by being glad you are not me, instead of trying to get me to be you.
If you get your ten commandments, can I have my favorite (fill in your most disgusting thought here) placed over the other door?

god, the ten commandments and prayer were never part of our foundation. the word "remove" is not correct.
just like fairy dust, ouija boards and alchemy aren't part of any structure's foundation... we want to build our union on things we can see clearly.
god, the ten commandments and prayer are not those things. that is what faith is for. you believe in those things because you have no choice... what makes you assume i'm choosing?
why would you wish to take the ephemera of your faith and try to set things upon it that it can't support? that is why i must show you how dangerous it is for both the country and your faith. you risk both when you try to tie the two together.

Why is gay rights wrong? What should we do instead? Tie them to the back of your pickup truck and dragged them along the road? Who said you get to decide what's right and what's wrong?

Cause its a free country.
And we have the right to be "free" from religion as well as freedom of religion.
