I'm discovering that sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is let us be WITH ourselves. When we look for happiness in other people and not from within, we have an expectation that happiness will always be provided for us. When that fails, it feels like our life is over. If you can find a way to be content with yourself and let yourself be alone for a while, you might discover a lot about yourself that is truly valuable.
Take up a new hobby, take a class, hike, paint, learn to sing... is there anything you've ever wanted to do but haven't? Now is the time. You might even meet some new people in the process... new friends.

You don't need friends or a rebound bf, figure yourself out and then friends and guys will come to your life at their own pace. take it from me, When i was younger i used to have "bf" and when we would break up i would go for the rebound and when i finally was by myself i realized that it's more fun than when you have a dumbass next to you that doesnt' let you do anything.
And focus in your education, that is the best thing to do.

Sometimes you just have to trudge through without having friends. It can be a good thing not to have other people's opinions clouding your judgement.
