scaromouche is a character from a play, fandango is a dance, magnifico means wonderful, and I have no idea why they say galileo (who was a famous astronomer), but then, I don't know why they say any of it really, its Queen, they were bizarre and probably high when they wrote it. It is still a great song though, and fun to blast in the car!

I don't know for sure. They were high, so I don't know if they knew either. I LOVE that song!! Queen rocks!!
