Is it very rude if you send a message to somebody who you knew from high school on MySpace and you're letting her know how you're doing and she just reads the message without responding back to it.

Plus I've only seen her twice in the past 10 years and I was really looking forward hearing back from her on MySpace and I've spent about 10-15 minutes sending her the message, I do know that she has a child who is less than a year old but I've felt she could've been more polite and excited about hearing back from me and I would do anything in the world to be a great friend for her.

Well, Yes it is rude. I've experienced a similar situation. You did acknowledge she may be busy with a little one at home...but she could have taken five minutes to say hi and ask how you were. It hurts when people shut you out like that. I know the feeling. Obviously you were happier about trying to reconnect with her than she was with you. What can you do? Don't let it get to you. She's the one who could be missing out on a great old pal.

wow these other answerers are a bunch of morons...you can tell whether someone read your message or not by checking the status..and anyways..wait a for a little bit..sometimes they just log in to see if they got a message..then leave because it might take her 10-15 minutes to write a message back..and didn't have the time at that moment..if she doesn't respond..then blow her off..

I dont mean to be rude ok?? But usually if you email or send a message to someone and they dont answer back it most likely that they dont find you or the message you sent that important. I tell you because sometimes i do that my self, it not nice its rude, but thats how people are sometimes, I know the correct thing would be to at least email something but not everyone thinks/is like that. Sorry about your friend.

I don't think it was very polite of her to not respond to your messages, since she has a child to take care of she probably could've been really busy at the moment and forgotten all about the message you've sent her, I'm sure she wishes you well deep inside.

Some people are embarsed by the way that their life turned out and feel that they may be judged and not " Live up to the Jones" write her again tell her that you just wanted to say Hi! with no strings or judgment ... also some times people are just scared..

You don't know what the situation is with her e-mail address. They have been known to mess up. She may not be rude, but just unaware you are trying to contact her. If you see her again, tell her you tried to e-mail her to see how she's doing. You should know something then. If she doesn't want to be friends, that's ok. You can't force it, but you can continue to be friendly somewhere else.

1st make sure that she has logged on before you jump to conclusions. If you know she has, then maybe send her one more message and if she still doesn't reply, then leave her alone. She obviously doesn't care as to how your doing and you shouldn't waste your time.

Yes it is rude, but then again, she is probably very busy, and will get back to you when she feels she has time to think abut what she wants to say.

She may have not Read your message yet. or she just down right doesn't care . just because you send to her doesn't mean she has to send back.
