if you have told this guy to leave you alone and he insists on harrassing you and you feel as if you are in danger don't be afraid to get the police involved. If he is steadily asking you for your phone number that is harrassment. Don't put yourself in a bad situation with this guy because you don't know how far he is willing to go. You need to give it to him straight. This way you know that you've told him how you feel, and if he continues to call you, you need to tell someone. That's harassment, and it shouldn't be taken lightly. Just make sure not to hurt the guy. You need to be serious, but not bitchy. Say something like, "Look. I've enjoyed talking to you (whether you have or not), I'm sorry, but I'm not interested. Thank you for calling me though, I'm very flattered!"
Instead of saying that your not interested, you could tell him that you are involved with someone else, whether its true or not. He could take that as a "I'm with someone" or "I'm currently into someone else", which works out perfectly. This would also give him a hint. Just give him a kind but firm letdown!

"Doesn't get the point."
Have you outright told him that you are not interested?
If he has gone through the trouble of expressing his
interest in you and risking his ego for the possible
dejection of you turning him down, you can at least
complete the transaction and turn him down.
If you are trying to be subtle, it clearly isn't working.
You need to say "I am not interested in dating
you" to him - unless he is likely to be violent or
hurt you if you say it. You needn't expose yourself
to any danger - but yes, part of the "dance" between
boys and girls is rejection - and the girl can't get out
of it just 'cause she's doing the rejecting.
If you have been plain spoken and he persists, then
he is stalking - and there are laws against that.
If you are not being plain spoken, then, even if
he is being incredibly obtuse, you still owe it to him
to tell him how you feel.
To just hope that he catches on is ducking your
responsibilities here.

maybe its about time to set him straight and tell full out that you are not interested and that you would really appreciate it if he would stop calling you. sometimes it takes a little meanness to get someone to back off. They may think you are leading them on by not talking to them but still have some contact because you haven't gone right out and ended whatever it is that was going on. Just be honest with him and tell him you don't mean to hurt his feelings but the constant calling is getting ridiculous and that you and him are just not going to work. Good luck hope this helps.

Don't avoid him, just tell him to stop calling. Then, get a block on your phone from his number.

Tell him to stop. Most phones have caller ID don't' answer when he calls. If you have a guy friend over when he does let him answer the phone. But make sure you have told this poor stupid guy you don't want his phone calls.

Well he is either is love or stalking you,
depends on your view of the world,
Why do women give out their numbers and freak when someone calls? The world will never know.
