At work today we had a potluck lunch. As my contribution, I brought two dozen of hot sausage and buns.
Well, as the lunch hour started we all sampled each other dishes as we socialized. (Everyone seemed to like my sausage and praised me for its great taste, which was cool.)
Anyway, this girl Stacie was very busy so I offered to get her some food before it was all gone. I set aside a two sausages and buns because they was only four left.
Well, about 20 minutes went by and the sausages were getting cold so I called down the hall and asked her if she wanted to eat my sausage before it got old and dry. I also offered to warm it up and put it between her buns. (I kept the sausage separate to keep the buns from getting soggy.)
Anyway, to make a long story short: my boss was standing behind me and overheard my offer to Stacie. She grabbed my arm and pulled me into her office and proceeded to give me a lengthy reprimand about harassment!

It's called misunderstanding by your boss.She thought you were sexually harassing your co-worker with the sausage in the bun bit.Just show her what she didn't understand and everything will be okay.

I don’t get it either…asking to sample your sausage while it is warm and juicy is not nearly the same as saying the name Dick Butkis at the dinner table. Boy did my mom slap me for that when I was a kid…

Well, she thought that your comments were sexual. Maybe you meant it innocently or maybe you were laughing while you made them which only would have made her think that you definitely were. Either way you have to watch what you say around some bosses they can be sensitive.
