I've asked over 200 ?'s and if I hadn't, I would be at level 5, so I feel qualified to answer this question, lol.

There are days that, yes, it's worth it because the creative juices are flowing, everyone is in a good mood, you're on a roll...then you hit your limit, if you are on lower levels. It pisses me off, because that usually happens when I've thought of a great Q or A, and by the next day, I've forgotten what it was.

Also, with higher levels comes higher prestige, more popularity because you've been around and people know you, and friendships because you've answered peoples Q's and they've answered yours, all courtesy of unlimited questions and answers.

I'm so close to level 5 that I can taste it, and that's weird...I never really htought I would feel that way.

I started in March and I am at level 6.I love being able to answer or ask as many as I want in a days time.It took me 4 months to get to level 5 and another one to get to level 6.Love this place and hope it remains free.Personally to me yes it was worth the time I took to gain each level. Now I just take my time and really look for better questions and better answers.

I don't ask a lot of questions, and I don't think I ever hit the maximum number of answers once I passed Level Two. So for me (Level Six), it's not about volume of answers and questions.

I try to only ask good, or thoughtful, or important questions, not things like "is my avatar cute" or such drivel. Similarly, I try to answer thoughtful and (apparently) sincere ?s, or difficult puzzles and scientific questions.

I don't know how long it took me, but I figure it was two or three months. For me, the quickest way to get points was to get a lot of "Best Answers." I tend to get 10+ a day now, what with the backlog from those lazy, lazy people who always let their ?s lapse to a vote, and don't appreciate answers enough to pick one.

[Can you tell what one of my pet peeves is? :o) ]

Good luck!

I've been here two months. It's nice to be able to ask and answer as many questions as you want. That's about it.
