you can massage wher the duct is
use warm compress
pump/breast feed
as you pump or feed on the breast w/ duct massage it going out to keep the flow going also if its really red and painful like to wear you can't move or even touch your breast you might want to see your doctor because they lead to seriou issue even surgey if it gets to that point, but i think its prtty normal the stage that you are in.
the clear is your newborns food after a week you will produce milk.

Breast milk can seem almost clear. It's not thick like cow's milk. If you have a blocked milk duct, the best thing to do is to wet some small towels or wash cloths with the hottest water you can stand. Apply the towels to your bare breasts to let your milk down. Once it does, feel your breasts for any lumps and massage the lumps by pressing your fingers into them and making circular motions - like your trying to get a knot out of your muscle. You can do this after breastfeeding or pumping as well. After wards, put ice in two disposable diapers and place one diaper on each breast. The ice will help reduce the swelling of any blocked ducts. As the ice melts, the water will absorb in the diapers.

There's not really anything you can do to stop your breasts from leaking. Get disposable breast pads. For the money, I liked Johnson & Johnson brand best. As your breasts adjust to the suppy and demand of your baby, the leaking will decrease. It may happen from time, but not often.

clogged milk ducts can be cleared by breastfeeding - so feed, feed, feed your baby.
You didn't say how old your baby is to help you with the rest of your question.

edit to add:
I just saw your other question - You are still pregnant. That changes things a bit. I don't think you milk duct should have a clog probnlem yet but use a warm compress anyway for comfort. You are leaking colostrum, not milk. It is clear, not white. You will see it turn to milk about 3 days after the baby is born.

Only way to unclog is to pump or have baby nurse on it for an extended period of time.

It's ok if you leak clear. The first milk to come out will look very clear for the first few minutes and the the "hindmilk" that is very white and filled with nurtrients come in after.

Wear breast pads to stop or slow down leaking. Gerber and Lansinoh make good ones. Eventually your milk production will slow down. I'm guessing your milk just came in from having a newborn so it's a little overwhelming and your pretty engorged. By a breast pump (the manual Avent Isis is good, $50) or the electric Medela ($250) is also good.

Good luck.

To fix the clogged milk duct, just feed him/her on that sign nmore often. They'll suck it right out. That's the only way to fix it. Leaking breasts, the more you're on a schedule the less they will leak. The clear fluid is the first bit of fluid that comes, it's fine if it's clear. I used those pads for the bra. That was all I could do to keep from having two huge wet spots on my shirts.

When I was breastfeeding I was always leaky, I hated it but it was the way it was. You can buy breast pads to soak it up. I often slept on a towel so I could have a bra break. Sometimes I found my milk a little clear looking, but it wasnt all the time.

If you suspect a clogged milk duct you really should go to the doctor right away. Such things can be painful and dangerous.

Goodluck!

massage them in the shower. the heat helps the swelling go down and helps the flow of milk. Milks color and consistency is determined by what you have eatten or who nutrients your bay needs. if it starts to become too painful I would make an apointment with your gyno. Your breasts leak a lot in the first few weeks after pregnancy. I would have breast pads on at night and still leak through two. After a while you breast become attuned to your babys hunger needs and dont leak quite as often.

You should talk to your doctor about this to put your mind at rest. Why do you think that you have a blockage?
Towards the end of your pregnancy, you have lots of leakages, just get some breast pads.

And don't worry about it being clear, you won't be producing white milk yet, more a yellowish liquid called colostrum.

Stop worrying so much, sweetie. You're fine.

not sure about the leaking, but I saw on TLC where a girl took a hot shower to relieve breast engorgement. Is this the same thing as getting clogged?
