i have never seen the film but wanted to. I did pick up the book and found it very disturbing.
I read it the last time i was in the hospital to remind me things could be far worse.
I hope it gains some popularity again to remind people what can happen when we fight a war. And make them think twice if the fightning is worth it.

the movie was good. the fact that metallica basically sampled the movie for their video doesn't make the video powerful. try "youth of a nation" by P.O.D. where they have photos of kids killed in school shootings. a lot more powerful than a non-original "one".

I remember watching that video for the first time, it was weird. It's an awesome video though, awesome song too! I like listening to Lars' kick drumming in it...
