We don''t really get tired, we just allow ourselves to believe we are. I know on cloudy rainy days I don't feel like getting up. I am retired though and don't have to get up on sunny days. I know the feeling though. I work around the yard and around the outside of the house and look forward to the cloudy rainy days so I can tell my self it is okay to lay in for a day. I spent years getting up at 4:30 AM and now I get up at 7:00. Of course the church bells go off then and it is like an alarm.

The SAD Association is a voluntary organisation and registered charity which informs the public and health professions about SAD and supports and advises sufferers of the illness.

We are the world's longest established support organisation for Seasonal Affective Disorder and currently have over 2,000 members.

During an average winter we expect to receive around 1,000 enquiries every week, from all over the world
